We search around Bali and other locations in Asia for the best items
available in teak and mahogany furniture. We are
not a manufacturing company. Rather we select/ price and trade for
the best we can find. We do not warehouse our selection of items
in Bali. Rather, we acquire on request from our clients and ship to
them. In the U.S.A., we do NOT have
a storefront or a warehouse to tie up overhead costs and
inventory. These cost savings are passed to the customers.
NO middlemen are involved in our operation to further chew up the
margins of costs. We deal direct with you.
One example of the cost savings
is in our teak steamer chairs. In Houston, these chairs - with NO
cushions, routinely list
for about $600.. The chairs are put on "sale" peridocially for
about $300. OUR chairs of a better quality and design
cost you about $140.00 with a closed foam cushion. (See
items MB-270 and MB-471).
Our teak woods are obtained
ONLY from Government managed plantations started by the Dutch about
100 years ago,
in Central Java highlands. The BEST woods are there. Between
tree cutting and use, the wood is often sun dried for up
to 5 years. Then our woods are kiln dried to remove moisture
before making your items.
