	How We Make Our Furniture

	This part of our Web Site will show you things that not many furniture sellers will show because they are NOT the makers and they have (most of them) NO idea as to how the items they buy are made. Our Teak and Mahogany furniture is made with the highest standards in both wood selection and workmanship available in Indonesia. We begin by hand selecting the Government Plantation trees that are serialized.

	These trees are aged, as the one shown behind me and the Master Craftsman who will cut and make furniture from this 300 year old teak tree after it is aged and dry enough to cut. ***** EVERY TREE CUT FROM A GOVERNMENT PLANTATION IS REPLANTED BY ANOTHER AFTER THE OLD ONE IS CUT.

	The aged tree is then moved to the saw mill by �foot power�. The log is positioned on the huge saw. The boards are cut to OUR specifications. Then as we state, EACH BOARD IS KILN DRIED IN THIS WOOD FIRED KILN UNTIL THE LOW MOISTURE WE DEMAND IS MET.

	Then the boards are cut into the shapes needed to make the furniture. Where a curved section is required, we do NOT steam or heat bends the wood. Each piece is cut from a thicker section as shown. Then the joints are assembled with BOTH our special �Hidden Nail� process where no nails or staples are used or shown.

	To insure a bond at each joint, we also use a 2 part epoxy which is pressure bonded for 4 hours or more. Every item you order is then hand assembled, sanded for a smooth finish and coated. Each item receives a minimum of 3 coats of the color you request.

Every item you order is Quality Controlled at each step of the process. The finished item carried a tag (shown) that gives us the individual history of how YOUR furniture is made.
